With over 28 years of experience, and more than 500 fire and explosion cases from around the United States under his belt, Laurence has developed a reputation as one of the country’s foremost fire litigators. With an extensive background in fire forensics, first-party insurance coverage and adjustment, appraisal, subrogation, and fire liability defense, he possesses a unique and broad foundation in all aspects of fire loss investigation, analysis, and litigation. In recent years, Laurence completed a four-year reign as Co-Chair of the DRI’s Fire & Casualty Specialized Litigation Committee and served as Co-Chair for the 2012 ACI Fire & Casualty Claims and Litigation Conference. As a founding partner of McCoy Leavitt Laskey S.C., Laurence manages the firm’s Eastern Regional offices in Portland, ME and Portsmouth, NH.
